Getting Set Up for Video Visits
Not sure how to get started with video visits? Follow these simple steps:
Step 1: Call to Make an Appointment
Schedule an appointment with your doctor’s office and see if a video visit is available.
Step 2: Get Access to Your Patient Portal
You will need a patient portal login to attend your video appointment via the portal or the PocketPatient app. Need to create a portal account, or lost your username and password? Your provider’s practice can send you an email to give you access.
Step 3: Prepare for Your Video Visit
Your doctor may send you forms or other information that you’ll need to complete before your video visit.
Step 5: Join Your Video Visit
When your physician is ready, you will receive a text or email notification. Click on the link in the message to log in to the patient portal or PocketPatient app (logins are the same). Once you’re in, select “Appointments” > “Join Video Visit” to meet with your physician.
Dermatology | Virtual Check-In
Want to connect with your dermatology practice by sending images?
If you’re a patient of a dermatology practice, you may also have the option to submit a photo via Virtual Check-In in addition to the live video appointment. If this option is available, using the PocketPatient app, you can initiate a Virtual Check-In, answer pre-screening questions, select preferred medical professionals, review and sign a consent for treatment, and submit photos for review by your provider.
